Invalidation Notice for Academic Degrees from Some Countries

Invalidation Notice for Academic Degrees from Some Countries

A recent announcement from the Ministry of Education's Study Abroad Service Center has raised concerns among international students regarding the validity of certain academic degrees. Effective May 30, 2025, the center has invalidated specific academic certificates due to a failure to comply with established certification standards.

The certificates in question were specifically identified in accordance with Article 41 of the 'Measures for Accreditation of Academic Degrees Outside the Country (Overseas)'. This decision follows a thorough review prompted by reports and new evidence that questioned the legitimacy of the foreign academic qualifications.

Among the invalidated certificates are those referenced as Jiao Yu Fu Zhen Ying [2013] No. 16623 and Education Service Accreditation [2015] No. 00270. These measures highlight the center's commitment to ensuring that academic qualifications meet the necessary standards for recognition within their jurisdiction.

The decision to invalidate certain degrees underscores the importance of compliance with certification requirements, as failure to meet these standards can have significant implications for students and professionals who rely on their qualifications for further education or career opportunities.

The Ministry of Education has urged all academic institutions and prospective students to remain updated about the accreditation status of degrees obtained from overseas educational entities, reinforcing the need for due diligence in verifying the authenticity of academic qualifications.
