In light of increasing incidents of fraud associated with foreign degree certification, our center urges prospective students to be vigilant and to rely solely on our official website for legitimate applications.
Recently, our center has received numerous inquiries and investigation requests from public security agencies across different regions regarding fraudulent activities related to studying abroad and overseas academic degrees. These cases highlight the increasing prevalence of scams aimed at individuals seeking to enhance their academic qualifications.
Our investigations have uncovered that certain illegal organizations and individuals are exploiting the aspirations of victims to gain degrees quickly. They falsely advertise their ability to procure foreign certificates in an expedited manner, claiming that these can be certified by our center. Alarmingly, there have also been instances of counterfeit certification where criminals have spoofed our center's official website and the Study Abroad E-Wan App, enticing students to provide personal information and make payments under fraudulent pretenses.
In response to these issues, our center would like to emphasize several important guidelines to safeguard your educational aspirations and investments.
Firstly, obtaining a foreign academic degree must be pursued through legitimate channels. This entails formal admission to an accredited overseas university, where students must engage in genuine learning and achieve the necessary academic standards over an adequate duration of study. Any claims made by institutions or individuals promising assistance in securing degrees or certifications without adhering to these conditions should be treated with suspicion.
Moreover, our center offers certification services based exclusively on the established "Measures for the Certification of Foreign Academic Degrees and Diplomas." Be wary of any entities or individuals offering "guaranteed certification," "internal channel certification," "pandemic supplementary enrollment," or "expedited certification," as these portrayals are outright fraudulent.
Additionally, it is imperative that the application for certification is submitted by the degree holder directly through our online platform. Details of this process can be found in the "Guidelines for the Certification of Overseas Academic Degrees" available on our official website. Claims of "proxy handling" are violations; applicants who permit others to apply on their behalf will be held fully accountable for any repercussions.
To file an application for certification, candidates should log in to the China Study Abroad Network or the Ministry of Education Study Abroad Service Center's official website, and complete the process via the Study Abroad e-Service Hall. Any other sites claiming to offer similar services should be regarded as illegitimate. It is essential for applicants to maintain awareness of the proper processing channels and to secure their personal login details to avoid falling prey to misleading promotions.
Our monitoring has identified various websites imitating our center's domain names or services. We urge applicants to exercise caution and minimize their risk exposure.
