Phitsanulok University Suspends Academic Degree Applications

Phitsanulok University Suspends Academic Degree Applications

Phitsanulok University in Thailand has announced a suspension of applications for academic degree certification, effective May 29, 2025. This development arises from significant issues identified during an inspection of the university.

The investigation revealed that Phitsanulok University provided conflicting, untrue, and inaccurate information to the regulatory bodies during the review process. Consequently, these discrepancies hindered the continuation of the necessary certification work.

In response to these findings, and in accordance with Article 39 of the Measures for Accreditation of Academic Degrees Outside the Country, a decision was made to halt the acceptance of all academic degree certification applications from Phitsanulok University.

The Ministry of Education Study Abroad Service Center issued this announcement, indicating a comprehensive review of all relevant certification applications will be undertaken to address the raised concerns.

The center emphasized the importance of maintaining integrity and accuracy in the application process to ensure the credibility of academic qualifications.

This suspension underscores the necessity for institutions to provide reliable data during evaluations, reinforcing accountability in academic administration.

For further inquiries and support, individuals may contact the Ministry of Education Study Abroad Service Center through their hotline at 86-010-62677800.

The physical address for the center is located on the 6th Floor of the Huihuang Times Building, at No. 56 on North Fourth Ring West Road in Haidian District, Beijing.

With these developments, the academic community is urged to pay close attention to the criteria outlined for degree applications to avoid similar situations affecting the legitimacy of their qualifications.

This incident presents a critical reminder about the significance of transparency and adherence to accreditation standards in higher education.
