National Education Digitalization Strategy Action 2025 Conference Held

On March 28, 2025, the Ministry of Education convened a significant meeting marking the third anniversary of the National Smart Education Platform. This meeting, focused on the National Education Digitalization Strategy Action for 2025, centered around the theme 'Artificial Intelligence and Education Transformation.' It aimed to implement the 'Outline Plan for Building a Strong Education Country (2024-2035)' and establish a high-quality three-year action plan to elevate the development of the national smart education platform. The session was attended by Huai Jinpeng, Party Secretary and Minister of Education, along with other key officials.

In his address, Huai Jinpeng highlighted General Secretary Xi Jinping's strong commitment to education digitalization and artificial intelligence. He stressed the importance of understanding and acting on Xi's insights regarding the role of artificial intelligence in fostering an educational powerhouse. He called for an unwavering focus on educational morality and the integration of multiple educational sectors, as well as a commitment to innovative reform that harnesses AI for educational advancement.

Huai Jinpeng outlined specific goals for the next three years, emphasizing that the national smart education platform has emerged as the largest and most high-quality digital education resource globally. He called for enhancing content construction and the interaction between resource 'construction' and 'use'. Key initiatives included establishing a national resource center and a nationwide public education service platform aimed at providing comprehensive support to teachers and students.

The proposals also encompassed the creation of a lifelong learning center that would cater to learners of all ages. This national lifelong education platform aims to enrich available resources crucial for vocational education and societal learning. He discussed the implementation of the 'Double Thousand' plan designed to enhance college graduates' employability while expanding training opportunities at all societal levels.

The necessity of embracing intelligence within education was underscored by Huai Jinpeng, who emphasized the importance of data security and ethical AI implementation across educational institutions. He called for educational departments and schools to equip teachers and students with the knowledge to effectively use intelligent tools, positioning colleges to expedite the integration of AI into their academic structures.
